Hi Everyone,

I found this performance of Satie's Vexations online. Maybe somewhere along the way the pianist develops some impatience and increases tempo, to do the whole in less than ten hours?

Hi Derek,

Maybe Earl Wild can produce a five minute video about it titled "Wild about Vexations"!

I suppose this shows how much of a recluse I became in recent years. At least we have Earl Wild's recordings and videos.

According to this article the nine hour video on youtube is an excerpt from a 35 hour (!) performance:

Speaking of long pieces, there is a performance of an organ work by John Cage going on right now in Germany. It began in 2001 and is supposedly going to last 640 YEARS. grin

Maybe Satie's Vexations can be the encore?
