Playing the piano? I do.. . . It`s a different sort of sweat from running or bikeing and comes from - I think - an over exerted brain. Sweat from within, almost, maybe tension related.

My granddaughter commented on this a short while ago, to the amusement of many listeners. "Granddad; you SMELL!!" "Nice, I hope?" (I`d had some aftershave stuff given to me recently) "Oh NO, Granddad!" Only a little girl can grimace like that . . .

So there you are! And I`ve lost weight . . . Anybody concur?

Bacteria in your skin break down your sweat which also smells, and often a lot stronger than the sweat itself... And it is also influenced by what you eat. And of course, you can pick up smells, eg cigarette smoke from others. I also noticed amount of sleep seems to have an effect

So maybe you CAN do something about it?

"I've lost weight'. Are you pointing to a disease, that may also influence how you smell?

I'd say its stress/tension related. At work, I have to do demos for clients that are potentially going to spend millions of dollars on our products. It's quite stressful. My job is very physical, and I work with fire, so I always sweat, but I never actually smell (in my opinion) except when I'm doing these demos. So I'm sure it's from being stressed or tense.

I know what you mean. I can't say I have had issues with "smell" crazy, but I do understand the inner sweat phenomenon. It is no different than the experience of taking a test, or delivering a presentation. Stress level increases and the body reacts. The sympathetic nervous system kicks into gear, and is trying to help you out (by making you smell and forcing people to stay away so you can practice the piano! wink ).
