I know I've heard the first one before... can't place it. Something by Jim Brickman, maybe?

The sounds are not uncommon so it may very well be original....I only listened until he began speaking again...so maybe there were more clues.

I have to tell you that I think some digitals have a pretty darn good sound but what I saw him doing is what I think digitals produce....and that is a somewhat 'hard' sounding touch. I think it's because you want the piano to sound more than it really is...more like a grand piano.....there is no substitute for a good acoustic .

Ok, thanks both.

Sadly, neither the budget nor the space will permit an acoustic. couple that with the fact i have a young family and my practicing is going to be early/late therefore requiring headphones.

I'll have to settle with the digital for the next few years but it still sounds nice to my clumsy ears!

Any other posters can name the tunes, i'd be grateful

M

By the way, Monica, i found your youtube video of the Waterfall medley - lovely piece that!

Thank you, mbc007! smile David Lanz would be another likely suspect for the pieces in question. Have you tried sending a message to the person who uploaded the video?
