Can anyone direct me to a website where I might obtain the sheet music for solo piano, Pachelbel's Canon in D, at about a grade 8 or 9 level?

I don't know about the grade level, but Sheetmusicplus.com is always a good place to find music.

There's a transcription on IMSLP for piano solo that should be difficult enough.

Kanon

What kind of style do you want to play it in? George Winston's Variations on the Kanon is simply lovely, and the sheet music is available individually on sheetmusicplus. (Don't be fooled by the ease of the sample page; it quickly gets much more complicated):

I play the Lee Galloway arrangement, also lovely but fewer syncopated rhythms to give me conniptions.
