Is the Petrucci site down for anyone else, or is it just me? It hasn't worked since earlier this afternoon.

I started printing it off, but the world ran out of trees before I was done.

I have always had IMSLP in my favourites - (except that Windows spell it "favorites" (Sheesh!)) - and for several days a couple of weeks ago the link brought up a screen that indicated that the page was "not available."

I deleted the link, manually went to IMSLP.org which, to my surprise, opened immediately, and then I re-attached the URL to my favourites (favorites!), and the link now works fine.

Regards,

It works fine here now and it worked fine yesterday (I checked something for Cinnamonbear and had no problems accessing the site).

Seems fine to me, Damon. I think that was related to whomever was hosting the imslp website, and it looks like that has been resolved. Maybe try it again?

I tried a random file and it worked fine. Maybe it was a specific problem with the scanned file (Microtek is a scanner; maybe the person who scanned the file protected the file by mistake).

I wasn't even clicking on files yet. For example, just clicking on Liszt caused that dialog. I finally got to Liszt by starting from the beginning and continually pressing the 'next 200' button. My computer has been behaving poorly lately.

Working here. I haven't had a problem since I reinstalled my OS.

I'm not suggesting that as a cure, mind you.

Odd. I don't recall any problems recently, and today at work I checked out Beethoven's op. 31/2 regarding the 'other' Jason's post on another topic. (So handy when a non-electronic score is not available!)

Were you having other issues with your OS (assuming Windows)?

When Polyphonist indicated that IMSLP was "down," it was not accessible for me, either. That was only temporary, as is so often the case when IMSLP is down for me.

By the time others notice and respond on the thread, IMSLP is usually back up and running.

Well, it wasn't. It was actually down for a while, until this afternoon.

Over the years I have noticed a few hiccups -perhaps I don't spend as much time there as others- but generally it has not been a problem, and I fail to see why there should be a 'topic' devoted to it every time someone has an issue, it is not like it is the end of the world.

But most of the scores I am interested in wouldn't be uploaded there anyway. Sorabji anyone? (Got the complete Messiaen, well never mind, cannot reveal sources. wink )

I hate you argerichfan! grin Just for having the complete Messiaen.

But I'm a physical score maniac by now, so nothing but the real thing will do...
