If I were to arrange a piece, how would I correctly show the composer and the arranger?

Depends. For sure you give the composer the credit, and somewhere (underneath, probably) you could write arranged by or arrangement by or arr. by your name. This part can be in italics.

There are lots of examples... You can go to a music store or probably even look online. Unless I don't understand the question, in which case, never mind!

You do understand the question! Tell me if this okay:

Title: "Stars in My Eyes", font 24.

Subtitle: "by Fritz Kreisler", font 13.

Right side: "Arrangement by Joel Wagner", font 13.

This sounds good if the composer credit is centered. Depending on the context, often the composer credit goes on the right hand side sometimes in boldface directly above the arranger. Ultimately, I don't think the details are incredibly important so long as everything is communicated clearly. There are lots of exceptions to this I suppose. I vaguely recall seeing a Liszt transcription of Beethoven's fifth where Liszt's arranger credit is centered and italicized underneath the title... But then again, this is going from memory and I'm not sure if this is Liszt's fault or fault of this particular publisher.

But what I'm getting at is that you probably don't want to deviate from any of the standard conventions of typical score writing. Your tempo marking will go on the left hand side so obviously you do not want to put the composer credit there and the arranger credit on the right side. If I were to do this I would do composer and arranger credit on the right side, same size font, possibly boldface the composer and maybe italicize the arranger credit, which would be directly below the composer credit (one line). I recall you putting your composition credit on the right hand side in one of your pieces so I think this is the convention you might prefer.

Here's how I would do it:

Title on top

Right side, just above score, right justified:

(Composer's name)
Arranged for (instrument(s)) by (arranger's name)

Poly is right. Both composer and arranger appear on the right side above the score and right justified. Sometimes side by side, sometimes the arranger appears below the composer.

If you use notation software, it should put everything in the right place for you.
