Nice to know that's the only reason people care whether I'm here or not.

Poly,
At least your absence is noticed by many. Not sure if anyone notices if I disappear. Hope to get to know you better through the on-line recital and other posts. I'm so looking forward to hearing everyone's work. It is a great idea. Thanks

What is the reason for the low interest of the remaining posthumous Mazurkas? Are they boring? Technically difficult? Or perhaps the problem is that it is difficult to get hold of the sheet music like in my case (I’m an oldie and therefore I’m excused, but I have the impression that many forum participants are capable of finding everything on the web).

Anyhow I was able to spot two of these pieces. One is K IVb No.4 in Ab-Major. This piece gives some training for the outer fingers of the right hand, but not awfully demanding technically. Musically perhaps not the most interesting, but it has its own charm.

The second one I found was one in C-major. I’m not 100% sure that this is K IVb No.3. In the score is written (German) “Band XIII No.8” (Composed 1838 and published in 1880). This piece sounds more like a typical Chopin Mazurka than the one in Ab-Major. Unfortunately the left hand has some repeated chords spanning a major tenth interval, and therefore it is out of question for me. Anyhow, somebody should play it.

*Fine* laugh Um...if nobody objects, I'll take the Ab Major, provided the insistence that if anyone else wants it they can have it (me and majors don't mix so well... laugh )
Xxx

Whew. OK, I was going through the first couple of pages and had a bit of a panic.

I have a business trip Dec 11-13, so I'll probably need to get it done by then unless I can find somewhere to record it in Las Vegas.

Is it too late to join?

I was thinking of attempting KK IIb No 4 in A minor - which I think I also listed as B. 134 - is that right?
