In this rural part of Pa, a common landmark when getting directions is "The Big Red Barn". Like, "Go past TBRB and my house will be on the left." It is never a small barn and it is never any color but red. But somewhere there MUST be a little green barn. One day I will find it, and my life will be complete.

Filmed at PTG convention 96's .

Was funnier at those times !

Offense ? I hesitate between pathetic and kitch. No offensive, I doubt it is.

When someone travelling on the Underground in London asks the way to the Little Green Barn the answer is always the same, "Change at Mile End".

OK, I'm #1. I was very offended all six times I watched each one. 'Offended, I tell ya - offended!

Getting directions in rural areas is a real hoot!

#2 here.

Only because I'm jealous; I've never had the opportunity to be fed by Selma Hayek's various body parts myself...

The little green barn is kind of hidden - I guess you just have to know where to look: wink

[Linked Image]

Although, in true rural fashion,
"Well, you go down about half a mile to the little green barn and take a left. Now the little green barn used to be the big red barn, but nobody's lived on that property in years and it's fallen down a bit and got some growth on it - so now it's the little green barn - uh Yup."

All:

We could say that one should only be offended if someone is delibrately trying to offend. Like, if someone accidently trips you, there is no reason for offense. It is an accident. But if someone tries to trip you, even if they fail, then that is a different story.

But lets say someone does try to delibrately offend, and one becomes offended, hasn't the offender then succeeded?

It is best to not take offense at anything otherwise you are either overreacting or playing the fool. The best retort I have ever heard came from the movie Toy Story when Buzz Lightyear said "You are mocking me, aren't you?" I have actually used it with great success.

My favorite is "the new barn!"

The barn was new 20 years ago.

Now it looks exactly like all the other barns.

I also like, "Its the big white farmhouse." Not as distinctive as the people living there seem to think!

Hey Jeff, heard of a fellow who happened to walk into one of those little green barns in PA and caught a farmer doing a strip tease amongst all the farm machinery.
The fellow is scratching his head and asks the farmer whats going on.
"Oh!..." replies the farmer, looking quite embarrassed.
"....Thing is, Mrs farmer and I haven't been getting on recently so my therapist advised I should do something sexy to a tractor."

Farmer jokes? Well why not. The Topic is noted as "humor."

So I am on my way to tune a piano (see, it IS about pianos...) and get stuck in a mud hole on a country road. A farmer comes by in a tractor and pulls me out, but charges $100! I said, "Gee, you could make a fortune pulling cars out of this mud hole day and night." The farmer replied, "Nope. I spend all night hauling water to make this mud hole!"

Now remember, all jokes have to have a piano included in them.

Two blondes walked into a piano store. I don't know why they didn't see it. After all, it was housed in a little green barn.

There's a farmer who had a beat up Steinway grand which he put out in his little green barn while renovating his home. A month later he found that the barn roof leaked rain on it, the chickens made a toilet out of it and the mice and rats chewed up every bit of felt and cloth in the thing.
It was a total mess, so he calls his insurance agent and says that he wants the full $50K for what it was insured for.
The agent replied. "Insurance doesn't work quite like that."
"What do you mean?!" he said. "The policy here says $50,000!"
"That's a maximum," the insurance man said. "What we do is will ascertain the value of what was insured, and then we will first try and provide you with a new one of comparable worth."

After a long pause, he replied "That's how insurance works?"

"Absolutely," the agent said.

"Well then.." he said, "... I'd like to cancel the policy on my wife immediately!"

This old farming couple were arguing about whether they should spend the Marcellus Shale Gas royalty check on indoor plumbing or a piano. Well, the wife won out and they got the piano. So, they still had to use the outhouse that, believe it or not, looked like a Little Green Barn.

One frosty night the husband had to take a trip to the Little Green Barn. When he was done he looked in the coffee can and found it empty. (The coffee can is to keep the mice out of the T.P.) With the cold wind blowing thru the many cracks, he desparetly looked around and saw a white square on the floor and quickly used that. After he came back in, washed his hands and crawled into bed the wife said, "We've been married 35 years and this is the first time you ever washed your hands after using the Little Green Barn." The husband replied, "It was the first time I ever wiped myself with a moonbeam!"

Tuner caught In floods on the way home. Stops to request shelter for the night from a farmer.

Only one room said the farmer and you'll have to share that with my son.

Typical! Said the tuner. I'm in the wrong joke.
