findingnemo, just curious but how old are you? I love music but it's like a good steak. I can't have it everyday, but if I go too long without it I have a real craving for it.

Must admit to finding music (any type) invasive most times. Scrambles my thoughts, so I tend not to listen. But I have to have it in the car after eating anything. Gotta be Heavy! I stay alive that way. . . and it makes me drive a bit quicker too.

This is me. Live music is different, and I listen to live music far more often, including, of course, my own. But even at band practice I often take my hearing aid out while we're playing and put it back in for the talking between tunes. And sometimes I leave a dance early because the noise is too much.

Different brains for different folks smile

I think if you asked my husband if I live and breathe music, he would answer a resounding YES! My social life is centered around other people who play piano. When we travel, I always check for a piano at the hotel where we stay. I practice everyday, as much as I can. He and I both walk around humming the tunes I am playing. I hear music in my dreams. Maybe obsessed would be a better word for me...

I'm holding my breath and swimming in it. I don't want to drown.
