Hello everyone. This is my first thread on the forum.

I just bought an used CLP-170. I found that the built-in speaker have problems with notes from C5-C6. I think it sounds unclear.

When I use a very old speaker, the sound is much, much better.

Is the clp-170 speakers wear or something? Any one have the live demo of this model. I searched on youtube but found a very few of videos.

P.S: Sorry for my bad English.

No warranty to void, crack that baby open and investigate!

Given enough time, rubber or foam speaker surrounds can rot away, leaving the cone with no support on one end (the spider supports the coil end). Also, speakers in a horizontal position for a long time can experience cone droop, which limits operational swing range.

You could probably find replacement speakers on the web that are higher quality than the stock ones in there.

Thanks for your reply. I think I will return it. Before that I will try to find replacement parts. The keyboard seems weird, may be the rubber contact is worn after time.
