I was practicing a piece of the New World symphony this morning and I had made a recording to listen to part I was having an issue with and I heard clapping coming from the next room. I've only been playing for about a year (had two months I couldn't practice this year)and to hear my wife clapping and saying "that was beautiful" warmed my heart.
She had taken about 3 years of piano in her high school years and had some doubts about me at 63 taking it up. I mean you don't get too many moments in life that are perfect and this was one of them.

Learning piano starts by taking all your confidence and then over many years drip feeding it back to you smile

Good for you D7K! It's really nice when the people closest to us notice our progress or enjoy our playing (since they have put up with it all the time! grin
