Hi,

I used to play the piano as a kid and now that I have enough space at home, I'd like to buy a baby grand piano to play in my spare time.

I have found three used pianos that are listed at about the same price of $3000. Which one might be a red flag? or a better deal?

Young Chang G150ES 15 years old
Otto Altenburg 20 years old
Knabe 5'7" 30 years old

Thanks,

Mozhgan

Sounds like a reasonable price for either of the three, but I'd go with the biggest one. Of course, condition trumps size, but size usually yields a richer tone (but not always). Hey, this whole piano thing is confusing. smile

Go with the one you like the best!

Good luck!

Rick

I think I would consider starting with the Knabe (generally a better quality instrument), then the Young Chang, and I probably wouldn't even think about the Altenburg.
