So there is someone selling a piano which has no brand name engraved anywhere on the piano, but has a serial number of IJSIU0750. The owner thinks it was made by Samick or Kohler and Campbell but is not sure. Is there anyone out there who could help us out with this piano? It says it is 108cm tall on the back of the piano, but doesn't give a model number.

Do the big companies make pianos, and then if they are defective, sell them off without stencilling their name on them? I wonder. Does this mean this piano must have been a defect?

Any info on what brand, model, and year this piano is would be greatly appreciated.

The serial number format indicates that Samick built the piano, but as they build not only for their own brands (which include Kohler & Cambell, Sohmer, Conover Cable, Knabe, etc.) they also have built instruments for other manufacturer brands (Baldwin, Story & Clark, etc.).

Call Samick's distribution center in Gallatin, TN and you may be able to find out more. However, given that the piano is only 108 cm tall, you can be confident that it was strictly an entry level instrument. Among their taller instruments, their are more quality levels ranging from basic to professional.

I would not speculate as to why the name is missing.
