There was very interesting discussion on the Piano Forum about differences between NY and Hamburg Steinway - here .

I wonder if it could be reflected somehow in the discussion about the differences between the sound of Ivory II American D and Galaxy Vintage D?

Had the same feeling about Vintage D when I tried it for the first time after couple of months with the Ivory II American D. Now, the Vintage D is the number one. Could you share your insights why you prefer the Vienna over the Vintage D? I don't have Galaxy Pianos and maybe I am misssing something interesting.

Vienna is a very powerful VST - i feel it has more dynamics to it and that suits my playing style. I like thunderous bass. I like that it is brighter too. I had to get used to the somewhat nasally sound but once i did i feel that if i ever could afford a concert grand I would skip a Steinway and go right for a Bosendorfer. Although I'm not knocking any brand. I really like them all... Yamaha, Kawai, Steinway, Bose, Baldwin. I probably will never be able to afford a Steinway or a Bose - maybe someday I'll be lucky enough to get a new Yamaha C3x - i'd be happy with that.

forgot to mention that you can try the Vienna out at www.try-sound.com

and also you can buy just that Piano - you don't have to get them all.

Thanks for the tip mitzysman, I will try it (it will be my fist step to "be like Oscar Peterson" who is my favourite jazz pianist cool )
If I won the lottery ha I would buy the Bosendorfer 155 Mignon grand with the Yamaha's SH system

P.S. I tried to find Vienna as a separate product but I found only the bundle of 3 grand pianos (Best Service website). Is it available somewhere else?
