Looking at a new yamaha p22. What are your thoughts on make and model for a piano for my kids to learn on and my wife to play (she used to play growing up, but has not played in 15+years. Is $6200 a good price.

A new P22 will cost about $6800.00. A 15 y.o. instrument has about a 50% rate of depreciation which figures at $3400.00. The P22 is an great choice and will give you many years of service if it is maintained properly. If you think the current owners have played it hard or see signs of abuse you should have it examined by a qualified technician. I especially like the music desk area where music can be laid side by side 4 or 5 sheets wide. I hope this helps.
