I received a multitude of gifts this year. I usually do personalized thank you's, however, I don't have most of my students' addresses (I work for a music school). I was thinking of sending emails this year, but fear it seems less personalized. Has anyone sent electronic thank you's?

There's something special about a written thank you note. You can always hand the written note to the student at their next lesson.

As John does, I hand write a note to each student and give it to them at their first lesson in January. I usually write the notes the day of their lesson, so it's spread out over a week's time. In my opinion, there is something more sincere in receiving a nice card with a heart felt note.

Yes, thanks, I completely agree with you, John and Joyce. I will try to hand them to the parents, since I've found many trinkets, recital programs, etc. in the bottom of their music bags months later.
