I am looking at a 1991 yamaha GH1 B in superb condition.. they are asking 6000 plus tax. Is this a good deal? Or do I go for a newer KAWAI and spend another 3000 (for a ge10).

My impression of the GH1-B model is that it is the worst Yamaha I have ever seen, played and serviced. I would prefer a Samick over it.

Thanks for your input! How much better is the GC1? I like the sound of Kawai ge10. only thing is it is just 5'..... I played the gh1 briefly and found it overly bright.

GC1 is far better than the GH1.

The GB1K is also much better than the GH1 despite being 3" shorter, and should be similar in price to the GM-10. Deserves a look, I found it to have a better action than the Kawai and a little brighter ... probably down to taste.
