#2213505 - 01/12/14 04:43 PM Help with StudioLogic Numa Nero keyboard

I've tried to update the firmware of my StudioLogic Numa Nero recently, but it has failed and seems to be "frozen" now.

The version installed before was the 1.7 and I updated it to the version 2.2 using the Numa Control Panel software (downloaded from StudioLogic web page). After installing this new version and rebooting the keyboard, it seems that the OS is frozen. The musical keys work correctly (i.e. they send midi messages normally), but all the buttons in the control panel of the keyboard stopped working. So, I cannot change the patches or access the edit or system pages.
Also, I can no longer establish a data connection between the computer and the keyboard, since I cannot access the function System/PC/VCom in the control panel.

Does anyone know how to:
1) Rollback the firmware update to the previous version
2) Or reset the keyboard to the factory settings (including original version of firmware)
3) Or start a connection between the computer and the keyboard in order to allow me to load a previous version of the firmware from the computer.
4) Or anything else that would allow me to revert this situation and make it work normally again

I sent some mails to StudioLogic to try to get some help, but haven't had any reply this far...

Your help is very much appreciated!

StudioLogic doesn't have the best reputation for stable firmware (or updates) or for customer service. I'm sorry you've been on the receiving end of this. I'll look forward to the solution you can hopefully arrive at, either through them or through this forum.

I've got an e-mail from StudioLogic and was able to make my keyboard work again. Here is the mail I've got from them with the instructions that allowed me to rollback to the previous version of the firmware, in case someone else need it:

You need: The computer with which you made the update (to use the correct drive for VCOM mode ), The usb cable , the correct os 1.7 V placed on folder to load.

Turn off the unit. ( with Usb cable connected to Pc)
Open the Numa Control Panel software.
Mark and click on 1.7V OS
Press the button "load os".
Now appear a red alert windows.
Turn on the NumaNero unit.
Now, automatically the load procedure must to work.
Turn off and on at your unit.
