Thanks to share those pics - it's the first time I see a Schröder action. Now I'm wondering about possible advantages of such a completely different system. Probably a nightmare to regulate, but maybe better in terms of inertia, UW and DW. Maybe they had a quick and light touch. In any case, that's indeed fascinating.

Bosendorff, the action works very well actually. If you turn the action 90 degr with hammer upwards, it looks exactly as an old upright action. It has got adjustment screws for all flange pins. I have played the piano on the pictures and it has got a nice warm sound.

Thanks pianolive, that's what I was thinking looking at the few pics. Wish I could try such an action/piano.

Very cool, thanks for sharing. I'd love to hear what this piano sounds like. Is it noticeably different?

I can't even imagine trying to string that thing . . .
