This is my second piano composition, done in a traditional Alberti bass style. I already have a few ideas for extending it, but I'd love any input I could get.

Hi Patrick,

Nice little ditty. It's pleasant, I hear three separate ideas with Alberti bass. What I don't hear are dynamics. The same volume level wears on the ears very quickly. The melodic ideas are unrelated so the lack of recap or development gives your piece less interest. It's like the kids aren't playing together. Each of your ideas is interesting so there's lots of places it can go as you get a better sense of how to structure your music.

Thanks for the valuable criticism. This is exactly what I was looking for. I am working on adding variation to the dynamics. The criticism about the ideas being separate is very helpful as well. Unifying them is proving difficult but that's why I posted it for your educated ears, so I could improve!
