Tempo is my problem with all pieces anyway grin

Right now I'm trying to figure out the rhythm, in my mind those 16th notes/grace notes want to fall on the next beat...

Yep you're right Monika- I tried Primavera again yesterday at the correct tempo out of curiosity and boy did it make me work!

Carlos I agree it is a wonderful feeling when you can play around with the feeling, not worrying about the mechanics anymore.

I got Questa Notte right through without the sheet music yesterday, that was a nice surprise.

Hi all, glad to hear you're all progressing nicely with the pieces you are learning! smile

I just uploaded a cover of Fairytale. I know it's one of his more simple ones, but I really love this piece and wanted to make a 'special' video for it! (I'm glad I left all day free because that's how long it took me to do!)

Anyway, if you have some spare time I'd love for you to check it out below. smile

Thank you! laugh I had in my mind how I wanted the video to look for weeks beforehand so I'm glad I pulled it off despite not knowing how to edit video very well! smile

I've got a few more 'easy' ones in the pipeline so hopefully I'll be uploading them soon too. smile

So, I managed to get another Einaudi piece quickly recorded this evening! It's one of his most simple ones, but I hope you like it! smile

That was lovely. Understated but peaceful. Listened to it twice just to get the feeling for it. smile
I think it's sometimes more difficult to hold back and put the brakes on for a song like this, than it is to do the fast ones!

Thank you! I know what you mean! I think I maybe didn't pause long enough in some parts but going by the time it isn't far out! smile

How's Questa Notte treating you? :P

I thought you nailed it!

Yeah I'm just getting Questa Notte by memory now I know I can do it, it's much better not having to pause for page turns lol. I'm also making myself relax more for the cascading parts so I don't end up with a blown out forearm haha! Anyway it's by far the most fun I've had with his music yet.

Aha that's awesome! I'll definitely have to give it a go at some point! smile

I wish my memory was good enough to remember pieces without the sheet music!

Only certain ones seem to stick in my head (or hands?) though, others need music every time. I bet you could do it and you don't even know it though. Just look at the wall as you play and see how far you get each time. smile
I'm sure I've seen you play- Indaco I think it was?- without looking at the music, it just seemed to flow!

Mark those were both really lovely!

Can I ask about your piano (the one you're playing in these two videos) and what you use to record? Are you using a line out from the piano? D you do the audio and video separately or together?

Forgive me if this has been posted before, but has anyone seen this Olympic commercial:

I was pretty sure it was Einaudi, and indeed that appears to be the case. Does anyone know the piece?

Thank you! It's a Yamaha P155. I record into the piano using its built in recorder at the same time as filming, then record line out whilst playing back the recording. smile

I think this question has been posted before, but does anyone know what is the name of the 13th piece that Einaudi played live, at home? (after "Time lapse" and before "Experience")
I knew the name.... but I forgot mad

I wish I knew this too but I always thought it was an improvisation?! It always reminds me of Video Games by Lana Del Rey! smirk

A friend just pointed out to me that the Einaudi Concert put up by Italian Telecom no longer seems to be working. The page is there but the video seems broken frown Can anyone else view it? Did they take it down (but not the rest of the page?).

We are sad and mystified.

Please step aside. You're standing in your own way.
