I like your small c-clamp, Max. Looks like the right tool for the job. I'm not sure I've heard of PVA glue... I have heard of PVC-E glue for gluing on some types of key-tops.

Over the years I’ve noticed many technical related threads on the piano forum. Also, some members feel more comfortable posting piano-tech related questions on this forum as well.

I see nothing wrong with cross-posting various piano related topics from time to time. It helps keep things interesting… IMHO.

I agree with you. Pianist who knows about the " A viscera piano" is able to understand the problems own upright piano and just fix it yourself or call a technician.
Let’s watching who have a need to know it's here
A mouse gnawed wool muting of upright piano. A mouse gnawed felt mute and woman sewed a new piece from the old children's pants:

A fix broke bass string
Sometimes we have not string that broke during a tuning. Especially problematic if it's bass string. You can reinstall it. It will work if you can insert it in the pin even half circles around of a pin instead of three standard coils
