According to the Kawai documentaion, the "Grand Feel Pedal System. [...] accurately replicates the individual weighting of the damper, soft, and sostenuto pedals of a Kawai EX Concert grand piano to further enhance acoustic piano authenticity".

Does this imply a slight change of the force of the pedal when the damper do make effect, or does this just mean that each pedal have a different weighting?

This feature is implemented in CN24, CN34, CA15, CA65 and CA95

I assumed it was the latter but I'd love to be wrong.

Correct, the pedals are weighted differently.

Kind regards,
