Finale
PX-350 produced MID file.

Opening the MID file up in Finale let me see where I was being lazy with my fingering by showing me ties, where there are no ties in the original music smile I was surprised (pleasantly) that I could review it that way.

Recording as MIDI and being able to view the MIDI file in notation software, is very helpful.

Yes, I do this often to check smoothness of scales and arpeggios, precision of rhythms, etc.

In the piano roll view, you can easily see the imperfections. Example here:

If you have software that will also view the MIDI file in "piano roll" you'll get even more information. It looks like a player piano roll on a grid. You get attack, release, velocity, pedal on and off and even half pedaling info if your DP has a continuous pedal (vs simple on/off). I'll look at something and say "Man, I really hit that note hard" or "I rushed that phrase". I've gotten so used to editing MIDI that it's almost as familiar to me as notation.
