Hi, champy (long time no see)! Well, you're going to have to correct the title of the thread -- George Gershwin did not compose "My Foolish Heart"; however, he DID compose "Embraceable You", of which this is clearly an arrangement. Personally, I regard this as quite sophisticated "cocktail jazz", to be played in relatively high-end restaurants and lounges. As always, you present the material very professionally and sensitively. These types of arrangements quite frankly don't do much for me; I prefer a more rhythmic, harder-edged quality to settings of American Standards -- but they continue to provide a touch of class to the proceedings. Thanks for sharing!

Wow... I am glad you remembered me! As a musician, it is very rewarding to hear someone remember you or your playing (in a good way, of course.) Thanks a lot!...

Yeah you are right about the title. There is another VDO clip that I made, and I got mixed up... I uploaded the wrong one... Sorry...

About the style, I learn this tune as a part of my own jazz study. Learn about voicing and stuff... As a musician, I tried to learn all kind of styles and grooves... as many as possible. Just because I would like to be able to play anything if I am asked to do it. (otherwise, it is hard to get a gig eh?) So in this case, I guess learning Jazz Ballad is also essential.

But I do understand your taste. Thanks for being honest, that is very important for me. Of course, I will keep doing rhythmic stuff too. It is a little difficult without drums and bass.
