Hello,

I was wondering do any owners of this library notice a strange hiss build up when holding the pedal and playing a long series of notes? Maybe I have an old version. The bass notes seem to bring it out more...This would be my favorite piano vst if it were not for this frown

I often play on Vienna Grand K4 and I haven't noticed that yet. I'll check again when I get home from work.
If I may ask, what settings and what Kontakt and Vienna version do you have? Is it the K4 version? Do you hear the hiss on speakers or on headphones?

Thanks for looking into it. I have kontakt 5 and it is the kontakt 4 version of the Vienna Grand. I'm not sure of the exact version of the Veinna software though. It doesnt say anywhere in the interface. The hiss is prominent in both headphones and speakers. If you hold down the pedal and play arpeggios or a lot of notes in succession, the hiss will build and remain until the notes die off. It's on the default setting when I load it up. This doesnt happen with the Steinway for some reason.

Does it have to do with the "dynamic" knob? Try turning the dynamic knob down and see if it gets worse, and than turn it up and see if it gets better?

After some experimenting it seems like the Resonance knob is the culprit. Turning it way down got rid of the hiss, but I don't want to have to do that because it adds life to the sound. I should add that the other patch in the library, the Vienna Grand compact, doesn't have this problem. I would use that instead but it sounds less lively than the full patch.
