Hello!!!,
We are continually looking for that piano sound that allows us to feel that we are sitting in front of a real acoustic piano, to concentrate on the music and the expressiveness of our interpretation. For me, without any doubt, with regard to Bosendorfer, VSL Vienna Imperial, represents everything that. All pianists seeking a software piano, real piano dynamics, in this, his Vienna Imperial CEUS system has achieved 100 velocities and 1200 samples per key, getting the long-awaited dynamic. The problems manifested in the Release Samples have been fixed in the latest updates, as well as volumes in some samples, furthermore, has been added the 2sus function, which allows the Re-pedaling,but as the words are just words...it's best to listen and comment. This is a midi file of e-competition, he sound is Vienna Imperial tweaked, version 1.1.732 x64 without any additional software, linear velocity curve, recorded on Cubase Element 7!!!

I see no mention of $110 on Sweetwater's site.
Original list price at Sweetwater shows as $715, now $585 with all their (claimed) price drops and savings, so less than 20% off ?

No ... there seem to be two different products:
1. Vienna Symphonic Library Vienna Imperial $585 at Sweetwater, 495 Euros from VSL
2. Vienna Symphonic Library Bosendorfer Imperial $110 at Sweetwater, 95 Euros from VSL

I was first exposed to the sample via this virtual piano comparison video on Youtube. The maker lists the vp as a Bosendorfer Imperial yet labels it with the higher price. Hence the confusion.

Here's the link if you've not seen it. To me it is the best of the bunch. Warm, never too bright, tinny or metallic, and when the notes crescendo into chords its doesn't turn to mush, great separation maintained while adding volume and harmonics and resonance etc.

Thank you!
