Hello,

Just starting to learn piano. Is it good to start already to practise the major scales WWHWWWH on the keyboard? Or are scales something for more advanced users?

You should start with Major 5-finger patterns at first until you get good at finger numbers. Then you can move onto doing full scales, one octave, hands separately.

Start with a book like Keith Snell's Scale Skills:

You can focus on one 5-finger pattern per week. Be sure to play them extremely slowly and gradually get faster only if it's easy. Speed is not the goal, but accuracy and least amount of tension are the primary focuses (foci?). wink
