Well mister, I especially made me member to congratulate you with your memorable of one of the greatest classical composers that lived, father of Mozart. Papa CPE, not papa Haydn.
I turned over from pianostreet, but I won't stay long, I despise forums. But I couldn't resist this shameful lack of replies or responses to a birthday, beautifully ornamented, as CPE himself in this age would have agreed with.

If this is the tune of pianoworld, you are all out of tune.
I enjoy every sonata für Kenner und Liebhaber by CPE, on my upright. Haydn is compared to CPE in that stage dull, not later.

Wish you all the best mister chrisbell from Sweden. Always welcome when you want to share a word. Only need to ask my email.
I am 52, at home because of bad health.

CPE Bach, CHEERS !!!!!!

Thanks for posting! And nice job on creating a nice ambience for the recording - proper instrument, proper outfit smile

I just heard a small concert on clavichord (yes, special concert for CPE Bach) and tere I also tried playing it myself. On your recording it sounds very loud compared to what I just heard. Is this comparible to the real volume, or did you need to stick the mics in the instrument?

Great job playing. It is very hard to get a good sound out of a clavichord, you need a consistent weight, you have no pedal, and every uneven weight immediately gives out of tune sound, rattling, double strokes or just a big thud without more sound.

BTW Ignace, I don't hear anything dull ! Regarding out of tune, try playing this yourself first

I've been playing through CPE Bach sonatas for the past few days to celebrate his tricentennial. I also composed a Fantasia in the style of CPE Bach. grin

Interesting pieces and good performances.

Thanks Wouter79 for your post - and your fashion sense smile .

The instrument has built-in contact mikes (custom made specially for the instrument). I had a valve mike in front of the speaker, which is also custom built in wood. Picture and sound was synced in post.

I couldn't find it in my heart to send him a birthday card. He has been torturing me since I began piano 14 months ago. From other post this torture may last a lifetime!
