Some of you know already, and for anyone that is interested: I've been taking part in a piano competition and have reached the finals! Which means - I'm playing Prokofiev 5th concerto with orchestra this thursday! The finals are wednesday-thursday, and are broadcasted on radio. As far as I know, there'll be a videostream online too:

Now, back to the practicing room....

Congrats!

I love the Prokofiev 5th concerto. What an underplayed masterpiece.

I'm really glad to see you doing well. You're a positive force for all kinds of great music, well-known and not.

Wonderful. I don't know the fifth and I've always wanted to. If I'm up at 1:00 am, I'll be sure to tune in.

Wait, isn't it scheduled for 7pm GMT+2?

If you're in Ohio, you're GMT-5, so that's 12pm, yes?

Congratulations! Prokofiev 5th is, believe it or not, my favorite of his concertos, and though I'm always happy to see anyone playing it, I think it suits you particularly well. Best of luck to you, and hopefully, if not live, I'll get to hear the performance!

Thanks for the kind words everyone! Tons of work remains until thursday - luckily, some time remains. Like D.S.F., I find the Prok 5th a particularly appealing and underperformed piece - let's hope it gets a little revival (in Finland, at least..) after this!
