Hi everyone,

I just started playing piano 3 years ago and really working hard through RCM. I was thinking of installing a PianoDisc Magic Star system or getting a Roland FP-80. With Pianodisc is it something I have to worry about breaking or maintaining. Is it responsive and good for piano studies? My worry is that it's electronic and built into my piano that I would have trouble repairing it in the future. Second idea is a good portable keyboard like the Roland FP-80 for silent practice. I know keyboards are easier to repair. I just don't want to worry about waking my kids or wife when I practice at night. Thanks everyone

Get the FP-80. The sound and dynamic response is much better than the sound module in the Magic Star, and the Roland has other potential advantages in its feature set and portability.
