I'm looking for ideas for a summer "day camp." Our studio includes both piano and violin students. We are thinking of doing a two- to three-hour group event as a diversion from regular private lessons. I would welcome any suggestions for resources and/or types of activities. I'm thinking we will divide into groups of no more than eight per group. Students will range from beginner to about level 3.

You might take a look through Bonnie Blanchard's activities books for ideas. I had a number of games which the kids played while others were working on duets, workbooks, etc.

The age range will be from about six or seven to ten, possibly as old as twelve. We've had a lot of interest, so will likely have more than one group.

Thank you.
