Thank you grin.. and thank you for the reply.

I am satisfied with the sound. the action feels authentic also(compared to the few acoustics i have played).

you dont like yamaha? may i ask what might be a better option for the price of the 155?
i plan on keeping the digital for 1-2 years before getting an acoustic so i really dont want to regret my purchase, if there were better options of the same price point:Dlol

I didn't say that I don't like Yamaha. I've very much enjoyed some Yamaha digitals. At around the $1K mark you could be looking at the Kawai ES100, and the Roland F-20. Some might also suggest various Casio models. But really, why worry about what you might have bought (as each will have pros and cons), enjoy the P-155!

P155 is a great DP, plus you got it cheap, ENJOY!!!
Then sell it or trade in for an acoustic!!

I did the same thing! I originally purchased a P105 but returned it and got a P155 about 2 months ago. I do not regret it at all. It was definitely the right move to upgrade from the P105, the sound and feel is so much better.

I thought the same thing for a while, should I have got the P255 instead? After trying the P255 several times recently, I can say this, it has more piano sound choices. That's about it. I love my P155 and not a day has gone by that I haven't loved playing on it. I got the black/ebony version with the matching black stand and it also looks so beautiful. I definitely prefer the look of this one over the P255.

I also recently purchased the Galaxy vintage D software piano, but most of the time I don't even use it, because I thoroughly enjoy the grand piano 1 sound. I find it very pleasing to listen to. Get a nice pair of headphone as the internal speakers don't do it justice.

Its good to hear from someone that went through the same as me lol.

I want the matching stand but cant seen to find it here in Canada now.

Another question regarding the p155.. I notice the keys(mainly the black keys, white keys are less noisy) are noisy on release. Does anyone else notice this?? I know there is some noise to be expected.. I am just extra paranoid because i bought a floor model and don't know how long it was out there for lol.
If there are any issues i still have 27 days to return it for a full refund/exchange.

The sound isn't awful.. Just a light thumping.. Still more quiet then my p105.

There is some noise. Not too much. When the volume is up I can't hear it.

I just took a quick video of the key noises on my P155, hopefully this helps for comparison:

Great video, thank you for posting that! That makes me feel better grin .

From what i can tell it is very similar to my own.

Im happy i got one of the last p155's available in the toronto area thumb i don't think i will regret not spending the extra $500 on the p255. Lol.

Thanks again!

I just returned my P105 for a P255. Man the P105 really sounded crappy to me. I will let you know how it goes.. I kind of have buyer's remorse because I just realized that the P155 has the AWM Dynamic Stereo Sampling like my CLP-860 (which I really like the sound of)and the P255 has Pure CF Sound Engine, which is the same as the P105... Gulp..

it seems right now GC has $150 off $799.
They don't seem to have new P155's but MF does.
If MF matched the coupon on the phone it would be possible to get a P155 for $749 and no tax.

Likewise, a P255 would be $1149.

Is the P255 sound a little darker than the P155?
