Well, I was offered a free old upright by a Man my father has worked with in the past.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Indeed. Yes. Yes. Yes.

Although I do not have room, my grandma does. Now, I will be inspecting this pie an oh before I consider taking it in. Two things matter to me: Condition and Make. If these two things are OK, it's a go. Of course, any old American Piano would pretty much be good enough for me. I talked to the guy, gave him our number. He'll probably contact us soon.
I hope this works out.

My Spinet has been good to me, but, Someone who is 6'3 playing a 3 footer can have some problems!

I'd take a look at the freebee piano and see if it is worth the trouble of moving (a major chore). If it is indeed 48", it may not be one of the really tall, old cabinet grand uprights of yesteryear.
