lol it's definitely engaging to wish your audience luck before beginning to play.

Some people compare him to Glenn Gould, and it's easy to see why. His interpretation reminds me of Gould, but also his posture. His clarity through the dissonance is impressive.

That's a wonderful program! I would have loved to hear that performance. He seems like a true docent of musical literature. Classical music could use more like him.

Reminds me of the time I saw Joanna MacGregor play the Three Mouvements from Petrouchka, and after introducing the piece, before she started playing she said 'Wish me luck!'

I've been hearing about this guy. I'm in town and was curious, but to be honest, couldn't afford the ticket. Sounds like it was a worthwhile concert.
