Hi!

Could anybody please try this midi file on a RD700 nx after just turn on the keyboard please? The drum doesn't work for me (it plays it as piano) even if Synthesia, Sibelius ans Windows media reconize the drum channel.

Tel me if it works for you because I would reset my RD700 and I don't want to loose all my setting frown

I am asking you to try it after just turn on your keyboard because on mine, after it played another MIDI file corectly, this one works fine.

And I am realy sorry for the double post! I needed to fix this for this weekend.

Thank you a lot in advance guys!

Yep, played fine on my RD 700 NX, about 14 or 15 (I forget) bars of 3 bass drum beats and a snare for about twelve bars, then an alternating type beat for a couple of bars. Really, the drums sound fine. It played it as a piano on my computer with Musescore. But the Roland has no problem.

It's possible you've set midi channel 10 on your RD700nx to piano instead of drums.

I had factory reset my keybord and same think. Still doesn't play the drum.

But it will play the drum if I make it play a "correct" midi file before.

emelton how do you do this to set midi channel on the RD700nx?

Alegretto,

I'm sorry but I don't know how. Maybe your midi mode is not set to poly.
It's curious that after you play a different file it works.

Sorry, no. If the Roland is turned straight on I get the piano intro. I then unplugged the usb and re-tried it. Still get piano intro.

Does this help?

http://www.musescoretips.com/2011/08/how-to-change-an-instrument-in-your-score-video/

I note that the lower stave is not the bass clef. Also when opened in Musescore despite saying "percussion" if you click on one of the individual "percussion" notes you do actually get a piano sound. It seems like the percussion instruction is not registered properly for some reason.

I thought you got it but unfortunatly this doesn't work. I change the staff for a percussion staff, so Musesocre played it as drum. But after exported it... RD700nx played as piano! frown

This only thing that make the RD plays as drum is to play a second of this file before.

But thanks a lot for your help... smile Any more idea?
