Thanks for all the forum members who had previously given advice, suggestions on exam program/repertoire and the key learning/tackling points of these pieces: Bach Partita No 6 in E minor BWV830 and Beethoven PS No 31 in A flat major Op 110.

Not the most challenging pieces on the syllabus, and took me longer time to achieve than planned. But, not bad for a 40+ year old non-music major/business adult preparing for it 100% by self-learning...

I don't know what else is on the syllabus, but those are darn challenging pieces. Very darn challenging. They both show very quickly what someone has or doesn't have, and I think they show it as much as anything does. Except for pyrotechnics, which is maybe what you meant -- but they do show a lot about technique.
