Hi, everyone:

Has been quite a while since posting any new demo recordings and here is a short excerpt I have recorded at my Clavinova CLP-480:

http://picosong.com/PUNJ

It is a short 8 measure transcription of the opening "Ouverture" from Gabriela Montero's film score improvisation of "Nosferatu" (1922) and I recorded this using "Grand Piano 1" the first time and "Grand Piano 1" layered with "Synth Pad 1" on the 2nd take.

Also, one must hear the original performance to truly appreciate Gabriela Montero's superb effort in improvising this unique film score:

After you start listening to the music above you won't be able to stop watching until you have seen the whole movie!

Gabriela does a great job in finding the proper mood throughout every scene of this classic silent film.

Sounds great in my car, just using my phone over the 'net - I bet it will sound a lot better at home.

Up for another request? John Barry's theme to the tv show "The Persuaders". I've started to learn it myself. What a waste of excellent music, on those two idiot actors. wink

Greg.

I am shocked. And disappointed. By 'two idiot actors' I assume you meant to write 'two cultural icons'?

In that tv show, they were a couple of "idiots". ("larrikans", would be more accurate).

Of COURSE they are cultural icons! Lighten up, and relax.

It was a dreadful programme so I was joking actually. The written word doesn't convey that I suppose.

Now should you dare to poke fun at Randall and Hopkirk (deceased), UFO or The Prisoner you'd really get my dander up!

Oops - so I'm the one who has to lighten up - sorry. smile
Btw Roger Moore was actually my favourite James Bond by a country mile - just perfect.

Just listened to pv88's recording properly - it does sound very good - a very rich and powerful sound indeed!

Thanks, Greg & Steve:

I always enjoy posting something new and interesting and Gabriela Montero's playing in this rather long video is quite impressive!
