Would you play it if I switched to something else? It would hardly be a problem to find something else I wanted to do, but one way or another, it really should be in the recital.

That is very generous of you! I know that I will learn to play it someday, but with my focus right now being elsewhere, I would not want to take it from you and not have the time to devote to it that is needed. Perhaps if I had gotten a head start on it before starting my project, but at this point, perhaps it's best for you to continue. I know you will do an awesome job of it!

I made a recording Händels' suite in B-flat major HWV 434 G34-36 a few months ago, but it's only the prelude and the Aria con variazioni. Is this of interest for this recital?

Those are the best parts wink

The Menuet is rather nice as well and far less difficult than the aria con variazioni.

Can you prepare the whole thing since you already have some of it done?

Well, as hreichgott writes, "these are the best parts". I did not think the Menuet good enough to spend time on. So, no I do not have plans to study the Menuet.

I don't know this suite, but I think it is ok if you submit what you have studied. Please, send me a PM if you want to participate!

When this thread was started I suggested Monday, November 3rd. Unless there are any objections to it, I suggest that we stick to that date.

A few days ago I got a question about how to submit. I'm open to any ideas, but I think the simplest way for me will be that you record the music, store it (in any format you want)on box.com, YouTube or wherever you want and just send me the links.

In addition to this it would be nice if you could add some personal comments. Some information about the music, maybe something about how you have experienced the work with the piece etc. Just avoid pinpointing your own shortcomings (if any).

Hi all, would anybody like to take Suite pour le Piano (Debussy) from me?

My schedule for the next few months are a bit shakey.

I've played the Prelude and Sarabande but figured I would never bother with the Toccata. Hopefully someone will take the whole thing but if not I would be willing to take either the prelude or sarabande or both if my arm is twisted and if someone else takes the toccata.

But only as a backup...if someone else wants it please take it. You don't want to hear what I will do with it! whistle
