Looks very nice. I'm sure it sounds great! Congrats. If you ever decide to sell, let me know.

Very pretty case, Rick. (Sorry, you "purists," but the furniture part of my piano is important to me.)

Yes, quite true, Ann... we usually walk by and look at our pianos a lot more than we stop, sit and play them. So, the furniture aspect is very important.

Maybe that is why my wife says she likes this one better than any piano I've had... smile

(But they all look good to me smile )

You got a sweetheart of a piano Rick. I am looking forward to hearing recordings of it!

Looks beautiful, congratulations! A younger and fancier version of the piano I have--I'm sure you'll love it!

How does it get along with your other pianos? Is this like pets, where you have to introduce them to each other slowly...? smile

Ah yes, a good question.

The new (to me) R is in the same music room with my C7. The C7 is the queen, and knows it… the R is subordinate but realizes it is loved and appreciated early on.

My oldest son came by for a visit last weekend and played on the R a bit… he said, “dad, this piano sounds almost as good as the Yamaha”. (ouch! says the C7 smile ). Of course, the term “almost” is what saved the day. Can’t have a piano brawl in the music room. smile

The R still needs some work and was way out of tune; I don't think it has had any attention in quite a while. I’ve done a preliminary tuning to raise it up to pitch, but it still needs a fine tuning, maybe two. I’ve done some work on the case and it is looking better. I still need to clean the sound board. It is definitely getting some TLC it hasn’t seen in a while.

For some reason I feel like I rescued the poor thing...

Rick..... You're starting to sound like one of those guys in Utah, talking about his wives. Yes, the tricky part is introducing them slowly. smile
