A little background. Throughout the years, I've always unfortunately experienced *massive* EMI (electromagnetic interference) through my PCs regardless of the soundcard I would be using and I'm at the point where I'm so sick and tired of hearing the buzzing and squealing that I'm about to punch a hole in the wall.

So instead of doing that, I'd like to take care of the problem once and for all.

Yes, there are some shielded soundcards but people still report experiencing either the same or lessened levels of EMI with these. I wish to eliminate the issue entirely.

Since I don't think a single traditional soundcard that is 100% devoid of any EMI exists, I'm turning to USB. Though I've experienced tons of EMI through USB as well, I purchased a USB isolator (from Olimex) that has eliminated this issue completely.

I'm using Quantum Leap Pianos so I would need something that would appear in my list of output devices when using ASIO. Right now, I'm using ASIO4ALL through my onboard sound chip.

Any advice or recommendations will be taken seriously.

Roland UA-55 Quad Capture has a handy ground lift switch on the back. I use it with my RD800 and MacBook Pro. No issues with noise at all.

What is your budget?

Something like the Scarlett 2i2 would do the job.

If paranoid, why not use your OPTICAL output from your PC? I do that, running it into a high end standalone DAC (a Yulong DA8). Works great. Did so also with a much less substantial DAC.

I also use ASIO4all.

I already have a Focusrite FireWire device like this. I'll give this a shot and report back.
