Ok, I found one more videos to show you. With Einaudi as a soundtrack, the first one has to be good. It shows the room that we will be playing piano in!
perfect choice; beautiful images.

It's been a while since I checked in here. But I have to let you all know that this year I won't be able to make it. It's a pity because location and planning are wonderful, and last year EPP in Lisbon has been a special day. I'm especially sorry because it's nice to meet you in person once a year. On the other hand, the reason is that I will be leaving for vacation with the family the very next day... I am sure you will have a great time. See you all in Italy next year!

We know that time is running and we've to take a decision soon... We have a tiny chance to be at EPP but nothing is decided yet. So, keep us in the "maybe list" for now.

Hem,
A note that no matter how much I'd like to attend, I cannot, at the moment confirm anything. What I said is that my sister in law lives in Geneva, so there are chances, but that's about it...
Sorry to dissapoint, but I'd hate for you to think I'm coming and I might not make it after all!

Torquenale - I am sorry to hear that you cannot make it this year, but I fully understand. We will miss you!
CarlosCC and Nikolas, I will keep you in the maybe list, but I understand it is a slim chance. I do not need a final count until about 30 days before, so I you have plenty of time to make a final decision.

I'm sorry to hear you can't make it Torquenale but I can understand. I am still hoping that Carlos and Nikolas can make it! We have finally organized! We will arrive on the Friday, probably mid afternoon, and we'll leave on the Sunday. If there is a brunch or sight seeing event on the Sunday we'll just drive home after, it isn't that far, relatively speaking. We're staying at the same hotel as Wisebuff and Mr. Wisebuff

We're struggling to find a way to be at EPP2015, but we can't do any move yet. Time is running and we know that we have to decide soon to get better prices in flights and accommodations. I would say that we have to decide till the end of this month but, for now, we're still in the "maybe" list.

Casinitaly and Wisebuff - I am glad you have found a good hotel. I think Des Alps will be party central! CarlosCC- I have my fingers crossed that you can make it! You have plenty of time to decide. I do not need to know before the end of May or so. Luzern is a popular destination in summer though. If you have problems finding accommodations I might be able to suggest some places outside of downtown. Just send me a pm. This morning we had breakfast in Weggis, a small town on lake Lucerne and snapped this picture. It was very clear, and this is a great view of Mt. Pilatus. the party will be between the two peaks!

Ha Ha! I laughed outloud when I saw that picture SwissMS. Mr. Casinitaly had to come and see what was so funny.

Hi everybody, Long time not posted. Omg, what a fantastic location this year! And what a picture from SwissMS. I just have viewed the 360 panorama from the website of the hotel at the mountain. The sad news is, I can't come this year. I had to change jobs again, because the many hours working as a cook, didn't really suits me. I had to quit before I would have got a burn out. So, being between jobs, I will remaster my computer skills into a programmer providing support to website designers. Anyway, my money went into the cooking study, so I have to do with almost empty pockets now. And being not very lucky this year: having a big dentist bill to pay, an expensive Swiss franc; it is for me impossible to go the EPP2. But what a location this year.... pfff... I will miss a lot.

Paperclip, I am so sorry to hear that you cannot come. We will miss you! Changing jobs is always hard, and the unpegging of the Swiss Franc certainly does not help. I wish you the best!

I just phoned with my sister, who lives in Bern. She wants to come as well! So this means one guest more; she does not play the piano. When is the party supposed to start on Saturday? Are we meeting early in the morning, to go to the place? Or are we meeting sometimes around noon? I'm asking because I haven't decided where to spend the night from Friday to Saturday. I am visiting my sister the days before the piano party; and if the party does not start too early on Saturday, we could take the train from Bern to Luzern Saturday morning, and still be in time. But if the party starts early in the morning, it would be better to travel to Luzern on Friday, rent hotel rooms, and be ready early. So: Information is welcome.
My grand piano is a Yamaha C2 SG. My other Yamaha is an XMAX 300.

patH- That is great that your sister will come join us too! It is about 1 hour 35 minutes by train from Bern to Luzern. The plan on Saturday will be to meet in the morning about 9:30 at the Luzern Bahnhof and travel together via train to Alpnachstadt, and take the cog train up the mountain from there. We will probably come down the mountain about 5:00 pm. http://www.pilatus.ch/en/railway-cableways/silver-round-trip/The cog train takes about 30 minutes, so we will want to get an early start. The plan is to be on the mountain by eleven or so at the latest. It would be completely possible to take an early train Saturday morning from Bern to Luzern and a return train that evening if you would like.

My sister says hi, and she's looking forward to it. We will be staying for two nights at the Ibis Budget in Luzern. I just booked the rooms.
