My brother-in-law teaches TV production for the local public school district. He created this AD for my business. It will run during all of the live streaming events on the internet at the school including band and choir concerts.

The tuning was a few months old in this recording and there are probably a few unisons that could have been cleaned up. I was very pleased with how the AD came out.

Here's the 60 second AD:

Here's the 30 second AD:

Thanks for sharing. Understated and dignified.

Actually, what I noticed is that you're a lefty! My wife is left handed so I always notice (and she doesn't!). Our president is also left handed! You know, of course, that left handed people are in their right mind ;-)

Thanks Scott! Yes! I'm a lefty, although I tune most pianos right-handed. I do switch to my left hand in the upper treble in grands. I always joke with my fellow left-handed students at school that we should start a lefty club. LOL

A left-handed, piano tuner, choir teacher, tenor, and organist. I just need one or two more obscure groups to fit in. :-)

I think the 30 second AD works much better than the 60 second Ad. Simple and gets the point across.

Where do you plan on using these ADs?

Nice AD.

And yes, an out of tune piano, or one that's not working properly, kills passion!

Dave,

One of our local high schools has a TV station. They stream live events via their Youtube channel that take place at the school, ball games, band concerts, choir concerts, graduation and the like the ADs will air during those events.

Is there any need for that Hakki ? Either keep it to yourself, or at least include a 'smiley' to show you were perhaps merely joking. Sheesh !

Hakki,

I'm not sure what notes you're talking about. That was me playing in the AD. The version I'm playing is from the book "Piano Literature" vol.3 by James Bastien. I may have inadvertently added or subtracted a few notes here or there. I was playing it from memory and had to edit it down to fit exactly into 30 seconds or 60 seconds.

Not trying to be picky, but the wrong note is important. It is consistent with each repeat and sticks out very obviously. This does make the ad sound amateurish to me.

The note is in the 3rd bar and you play an A instead of a G#. Maybe your edition says that, but not any of mine and never that I have heard before.

Ohh...you are correct. My edition does in fact have a G#. I've been playing that wrong for years! LOL

I'll just say that I planned it that way. If someone can pick out the wrong note in the AD, I'll give them $10 off their next tuning. :-)

Thanks for your astute observations.

Yes, after pondering upon it more, it's eating at me and my training as a music teacher! If I'm going to quote Beethoven in my AD, and use his music, I guess it should at least be correct! I'll have to go in an lay down a new track.
