Thanks Recaredo! It's lovely, though I only had time to listen to half of the recording. I'm looking forward to finishing it in the morning. I hope you are well.

I still don't have much posting time. Right now I'm preparing for a student recital in September. I haven't been in a student recital since I was 17 years old!! And that was quite a long time ago! laugh

I must be off. Be well!

I haven't posted before on this thread, so I'm hoping this music is appropriate, but I came across this on youtube and loved it so much I thought it was worth a share. Besides that imagine airlifting a piano up to a cliff top.

Coming back to Spanish Pop, this song (La culpa fue del cha, cha, cha) reminds me when I was a teen and every girl drove me crazy. Then I was a kind of errant hormone, lol!

Greetings everyone! I sincerely apologize for being silent for so long! My life's become a complete mess lately frown I'm planning to come back to RST and share some music for almost a year!! Anyway, finally I've succeeded laugh

Thanks Recaredo! smile Initially I decided not to participate as my piano practicing is also running as randomly as my life! But the amount of enjoyments and lessons I've got by participating in previous recitals (starting from right here, our RST!!!) overrode all of my laziness and disappointments! I'm really happy that such a beautiful piece was still left for me smile Your choice is also fantastic! I'm really looking forward to listening to all of your beautiful playings!

Thanks to all for sharing such wonderful musics! Welcome to RST, Mandy, and great selection smile I'm also a fan of PianoGuys and their musics! Recently I've downloaded all of the videos from their official youtube channel laugh

Griffin, can't wait for listening your performance on your recital! Wish you best of luck!

Recently, I've come across this wonderful contemplative piece by Mozart, performed by one of my favorite pianist, Hélène Grimaud:

Loved the Grace Potter, fizikisto! She has some talent there but I hadn't even heard of her, so thanks for the enlightenment.

Here's some older stuff. Haven't listened to this for ages and currently being put onto the car's entertainment system.

Ted Nugent: Stranglehold

Yeah I love Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. They are fantastically talented. The make great original music and great covers. What I really love about them is how versatile they are. They play country and western, heavy metal, top 40, R&B, Blues, 60's psychedelic rock, pretty much everything.

here's one more of them that I love. It's an acoustic version of one of their harder rocking songs, and I love the acoustic version even more than the original.

Re Stranglehold: I have always loved that song! Amazing guitar work, simply amazing. Whatever one thinks of ted nugent's politics, the dude can play a guitar! Although, I can't hear that song now without thinking of veronica mars lol. (The song was featured prominently, or perhaps ominously, in the season 2 finale that show.)

Warm Regards

Greetings everyone! It's so nice to see some new contributors to RST. I'm going to share a little music today since I can't play the piano for a while. My doctor has ordered me to stop playing for a few weeks. My right hand and wrist are in a brace. It seems I've overused my right hand frown. The big question is whether I'll be able to perform in a student recital which is scheduled near the end of October. I'll keep you updated.

In the meantime, here's a fun video a friend shared with me. I'll spread the joy here. The performance is in various locations in Toronto. They are performing to Bach's G Minor Presto. Enjoy!

Oh that sucks! you have my sympathy. I injured my hand (work related) a couple of years back and had to have a long break from piano playing while it healed. When you say that you overused your hand, was that from piano playing? If so, that could be an indication of bad technique which needs correcting before you play again. If not (and either way actually) I empathize with the frustration. Wishing you as fast a recovery as possible.

Warm Regards

Thanks Richard and Fizikisto! I'm suspecting the problem is technique. I had started feeling tension in my neck and shoulders about a month ago. I suspect it may be related. I will be seeing a hand specialist and hopefully we will get to the bottom of this problem very soon. My piano teacher will also work with me once the specialist develops a plan for my recovery.

It's true that I'm bummed out about this happening. I only hope I'll be able to avoid this problem in the future. Right now I'm exploring a few gentle yoga techniques that seems to help reduce the tension in my neck area. That will help me stay comfortable until I see the specialist. I'll keep you posted.

I'll be back a bit later with some music to post.
