Hello! I've been taking piano lessons for three years now. I really enjoy it, and hope for piano to be a big part in what I do. Right now I'm curious what songs I should learn that could help me become a better pianist and learn some good techniques. Here are some songs that I am learning right now https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWDY-6u9LWs Turkish March by Beethoven https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrk-zuuc77U Hungarian march by Mozart Also https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ae3Hm9FLG_U a Maiden's prayer is probably the hardest song I'm doing since it goes very fast ( For me. ) Any songs would be appreciated, I'm a bit clueless and I don't know what to learn. In the past I've just been printing out songs but now I want to get serious about this

If you're still taking lessons, I would discuss this with your teacher who knows your playing better than anyone at PW.

This is true, and I've considered asking him but I'm not sure if this is the right thing to do. My teacher is an older pianist, he plays in churches, in events, but most of the stuff he plays is hymns. He plays them amazingly with lots of additions and stuff but I'm not sure if he would be able to help with classical stuff.

In that case, and if you're serious about learning more classical repertoire, then you should get a teacher who can teach you "classical stuff." I don't see much point in working with a teacher who can't teach you the repertoire you want to learn. Regards,

In addition to what has been said already, I would suggest meeting in person with other pianists under casual circumstances and discuss music in general, it's very inspiring and motivating to watch someone playing music you love and be able to possibly say "wow, I'm friends with that person". It'll open you up to ideas of what to play now or in the future and maybe help guide you to a good teacher.
Also while we're at it, make sure you call them "pieces", songs are sung and this distinction will put you well above most people when talking about music.
