Tell them that you are a "V.I.P."  . With the kind of musicians that regularly roam about the halls, I'm no V.I.P. 'round those parts unless that term stands for "Very Insignificant Pianist".

Tell them that you are a "V.I.P." . With the kind of musicians that regularly roam about the halls, I'm no V.I.P. 'round those parts unless that term stands for "Very Insignificant Pianist". If that is true then you should be practicing right now. As of this week I have acquired one of the horrendous Swedish cold variants so I have an excuse for time off.

I would, but my piano has conjunctivitis. Just don't place your fingers in your eyes later . . . easy solution. Now go practice!

You mean from the chamber workshop at Curtis this past June? Grieg Norwegian Dances, Op. 35, Nos. 2 & 4.
Were you at the recital? I had a blast with them. My partner was such a treat to play with!

Two Snowflakes, does this mean you've switched teachers permanently? No, I'm going to be seeing two teachers for at least the foreseeable future. I'll start seeing this new teacher on a supplemental basis as I wish, but I'd like my current teacher to remain as my primary teacher. I asked if monthly would work, and the new teacher seems fine with that. I could go into more detail on why, but it's kind of a long thought process.
