I'm looking to buy a piano and someone has one for sale made by Thomas. I thought Thomas only made organs but apparently they once made pianos too. I can find no information on-line as to their quality as an instrument. Does this mean they're mediocre pianos or were so few made they're simply not in circulation or ? Thanks in advance for any insight and wisdom you can offer me!

I believe that they were a syencil made by the Aeolian Group in their Memphis factory.
If it is, they were generally of low quality.

Cstalberg, Thomas pianos are being made new now in acoustic and digital. They are made in China. Some of their digital models are decent, and some not so hot IMHO. Their acoustic pianos are good entry level pianos that offer a good value for an entry level, to mid entry level piano. If it is an older piano, I would get the Atlas book at look up, or refer to someone here on the forum that might have more details. I agree with Steve, I believe the older ones were stencils buy Aeolian.
