Hello everyone,

I'm interested in the CA65 and was wondering if people have purchased from Kawai online. I'm concerned about how such a large package delivery will be handled.

1. Who do they use for shipping? Since it's about 170 lbs, I doubt they'd use FedEx or UPS.

2. What happens if they deliver and I'm not home. Surely they won't leave a large expensive item just sitting outside.

3. Are they good and packaging and delivering safely without damage?

I sent a message to Kawai and they told me to ask their shipping partner, but they seemed to give me very uncertain answers. Just said the delivery people will leave me a note to come get it. And I don't have a car large enough to carry it.

Thanks.

I have never heard of "Kawai Online". Do you mean buying online from a Kawai authorised reseller?

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I meant online as in from Kawai's official website and not through a brick and mortar dealer.

I'm looking to buy it from their website.

Seeking an answer here is not the answer, it's not good enough IMHO of the supplier and I would make further direct enquiries to them. Still unsatisfied, go elsewhere.

What difference does it make. They take the risk. If it is not delivered in perfect condition you send it back. It will probably come in 3 or 4 pieces (separate packages) and then you put them together. My guess is that it will be fine. They do not want problems with it.

Of course, not. Usually, you will be required to sign for it.

Everyone involved is trying to make the delivery go without a problem. They will do their best.

Well, you have a lot of uncertainty associated with this. These issues are best addressed by discussing with Kawai until you are satisfied ... prior to purchasing it.

Finally ... It is best if you find a dealer near you and purchase from them. Then, they will bring it to your home and put it in your home right where you want it. Also, if you have issues later, they will fix it in your home or take it to their shop and fix it. Everything goes much smoother that way.

Good Luck

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll look for dealers.
