I was excited to recently read that an Airport express can be used to send music to the piano. I got an Airport express and have that working now (plugged in throughout the CD import in back of CFX unit). My computer and iPad recognize and and will stream to it. I tested a Piano Disc CD my ripping it to my iTunes. When played from my computer it sounded like a fax (good sign), but when sent to my piano through iTunes I could not hear anything. Turned it louder and a heard a faint sound through the speakers which also sounded like a fax! No attempt at playing the actual keys. Tried this both from iTunes of my computer and the iPad; no difference frown I then tried unplugging the Airport Express and plugging my iPad directly on the other side of the line-in. Again, made no difference frown

I then tried streaming from PianoDisc Radio at http://pianodisc.streamguys.tv and while my computer or iPad had the fax sound, when it came through my piano it sounded like music, just through my piano's speakers, unfortunately not playing my piano keys.

ANY help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated!

Thank You,
~Mary

I think that if you are sending a file to a player system, it needs to be a MIDI file, rather than a sound file.
