I am just beginning to learn how to play the piano. About two months before I got this I had found a beat up Yamaha psr 420 on Craigslist. On the day this was purchased my mother stopped by the apartment to drop off some books for me to read. When she saw the keyboard she asked me why I just did not buy a new one. I told her that I wanted to make sure it wasn't a passing fancy before I dropped big cash.

About an hour later she was at the door again asking me to come and unload my xmas present! I know that many on this board would not consider this DP much to look at but, personally, I am having a great time with it and learning tons about music in general, note recognition, how to read music, and learning how to deal with hand cramps!

I bought the CDP-130 from this same GC for $300 back in September. I know I could have gotten maybe $200 on Craigslist, but I didn't want to go through all the hassle.

The lesson here? Don't cheap out over a few hundred bucks! It's worth getting the instrument you really want and will keep from the beginning.

Very happy with my 150, the action is a huge step-up. Finally!

A great piano store. Have all kinds of pianos. Very friendly and helpful. Let you play anything you want (including the Steinways they have), leave you in peace to do so (they have headphones if you want), and are not pushy in any way.
I might add that they also sell a lot of pianos (digital as well as acoustic) to Denmark (delivered). Only 45 minutes from the border, and a lot to be saved.
AND the owner (who himself delivered) took great care to get all plastic pieces removed from the pedals after setting it up. Apparently Yamaha places little (so tiny they had to be removed with tweezers) plastic strips under the pedals, and if not properly removed the pedals will make an annoying noise when used.

ER Music was sold out and back ordered, but they did have a floor model at a superb price described to me as being in "mint condition" ... Well, upon arrival (about 48 hours later!) it turns out there was a small issue with the Mod Wheel. However, between ER Music diligently following up + outstanding phone support from Kawai technician (Juan E.) we got this resolved pronto from my home. Now I'm the happy owner of a perfect new MP7 at an excellent price. I give ER Music and Kawai ***** (5) stars.

WOW! That is an awesome price. That is by far the lowest price I have heard that a new MP7 has sold for. Prices are significantly higher in Australia. You have done exceptionally well. Maybe you might think about installing the v1.10 software that was released on 22/1/2015...and it will be an even better machine. Have fun.

Thanks, pv88. I didn't clarify but it's my daughter who bought it, but she doesn't post on this forum so I thought I'd share it with forum members here in case somebody is in the market for an N3 in LA who can benefit from the info.

She was considering the N2 initially and was quoted $9K out the door with credit card payment and delivery included from the same dealer at 9% sales tax. But they also offered a good deal on the N3 so she decided to spring for the N3 instead.

I bought an N3 myself way back in 2009 when it just came out (still have it). I think I did post my purchase price on this thread as well. I paid $10,250 before tax and delivery for mine in AZ. It was the very first N3 sold in AZ, so the salesman told me.
